Flatter Files is cloud based flat file cabinet for your drawing and documents. It is designed from the ground up to be 100% focused on providing the best experience for accessing your drawings by the people that need to use your drawings from anywhere with an internet connection. It is not a replacement for your creation process, instead it is designed to work with whatever creation process you use whether it is a traditional PDM system, a cloud based file syncing service, or just files organized on your network drive.
If your company has implemented Flatter Files, then you can skip this section. You should have received an email with login credentials.
To create an account, simply click this link and then enter your email address. Click submit and you should receive an email with a link to create an account. This verifies that the email address entered is valid. If you do not receive the email, please contact us at support@flatterfiles.com.
Once you receive the email, click the link in the email. Enter the requested information and then click submit to create the account. Now your account has been created. By default, your account will include two sample drawings and a sample document.
Your content can be accessed on Flatter Files using both the web application as well as the mobile applications. To access the web application go to flatterfiles.com and click login or simply click here. This application works in any modern desktop browser (Chrome, Firefox, IE 9+, & Safari) and requires no additional plugins.
Native mobile applications exist for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. The iPhone and iPad application can be downloaded in the Apple App Store while the Android application can be downloaded in the Google Play Store. Search Flatter Files in the stores or click the links.
The Flatter Files Uploader is used to upload your drawings and documents to Flatter Files. The Uploader processes your native files and uses the corresponding CAD or document application to generate a PDF and upload it to Flatter Files. The Uploader is highly configurable and is discussed at length in the Uploading Content section.
